A Mother's Day gift basket is a great way to show either a first-time or seasoned mother that the family loves and appreciates her. Why a gift basket? Multiple members of the family can buy or make special items to include in the basket and they can present the mother (or mothers) with one great gift.

To start off, make sure to get a sturdy but attractive basket that will hold all the items. If the son or daughter has a large family with a lot of children, make sure to get the grandmother an extra large basket so all the grandchildren can contribute as well. For a small family of only a father and an infant, purchase a normal size basket and make sure to fill it with presents - the man will have to work hard to make up for the infant's inability to buy gifts.
